Today was good fishing.  We dodged a T-storm this morning and picked 8 trout and lost 2 nice salmon.  Tonight we got out and the fishing was hot from the start.  We ended pulling in about 15 trout and one 15 pound salmon.  It was a great day with great weather.

Well, it was windy but we fished anyhow...  The morning was good, started at 5:30 and steadily took fish for about 2 hours.  We had a slow time for about half hour 45 minutes, then had a triple going.  We did not see any salmon today, however had one on for a minute.  We landed about 8 Lake Trout and for some reason ended up catching 2 small mouth bass.  We do catch a few a year, although today was nice cause one was over 5 pounds!!!   That's all from us.  Hope you had a great weekend.

We fished back in Frankfort the last two days, and it was a bit slower than we hoped for.  We did get a few each trip out, and some nice ones.  We saw a couple fish over 15 pounds and our biggest was 18 1/2.  We will be back in Grand Traverse Bay this weekend, I will let you know if we are still hitting salmon, and if the trout bite is cooperating.

Over the weekend we saw some decent fishing.  On Saturday night we picked up 4 salmon and 4 trout in East Bay.  Two of the salmon we decent size in the 13-15 pound range.  On Sunday morning we did get a 18 1/2 pounder out of Frankfort.  Then, back to East bay Sunday night we had a good catch of trout and 2 more salmon.  They were  both about 10-12 lbs.  Thats all from our side.  Have a great day.

In the last couple days we have been seeing some good trout action.  The numbers are from 5-10 on average, one morning we did bring in 15.  We caught 1 salmon last night, we been having others on, but not getting them into the boat.  The trout sizes are huge, lots of 7-11 pounders.  We can't keep them, but they sure are fun to fight.

Check out this 14 pound Laker we brought in over the weekend.  Several big fish have been showing up lately.  We are also starting to pick up a few salmon.  They should become thicker as the next week or two go by.

We fished all day on Tuesday.  I was solid the whole time.  we boated over 40 fish and ended up with 16 keeper trout.  We also caught about 6 fresh water Drum.  They fight good but they are not for the eating so we send them all back.  We are still getting fish in pretty shallow water, spoons have been good in morning and evening and flasher have been good with the high sun.  We will be back out fishing again soon and will keep you posted on the outcome.  Call captain Ben @ daydreamer charters to get in on some of this great fishing.  231-218-5176

WE CAUGHT A BROWN!!!  For many of you know we don't get Brown Trout very often anymore.  This morning we caught a nice little 3 pounder.  We also lugged in about 20 or so Lake Trout.  The group of three kept just enough for dinner, and gladly released the rest we boated.  The fish are starting to head back to deep water.  We have now seen surface temps up to 70 degrees.  Have a good one until next time!

Well, we ended up on a last minute trip Sunday night, it was our best trip of the season.  We did loose track of how many we caught around the 32 mark, so we figured we finished by boating somewhere in the low 40's.  It was one fish after another for 4 hours of now stop action.  We never did land any hogs, however several fish were in the slot and lots of fillets went home with Scott.  Give Daydreamer a call to get in on some of this hot action.

We went out Friday morning and the trout are still on the bank.  This was good to see as the action stayed hot.  We landed 28 trout, along with a few of them being in the 8-12 pound range.  Also, we went fishing on Saturday morning.  We left the dock at 5 am and returned with a limit catch at 7:15am.  We boated 15 altogether, and that left us with 9 keepers.  We did release a nice fish that was close to 12 pounds, he put up a great fight.  All in all, the fishing is strong and we are having a great spring run.  We will be back out again on Tuesday, see you then.

Fishing on Sunday was steady.  We did a 3 hour trip in the morning and a 4 hour trip in the evening.  Both trips produced around 15 trout.  On this day the size ran a bit small, but we kept putting fish in the boat all day.  The water is starting to warm up, this means the fish will be moving off the bank in the next week or two.  Give us a call to get a great catch of trout this week.

Saturday morning was what we call CRAZY!!!!  We fished from 6-10am, and they never stopped biting.  The group of 4 landed 25 Lake Trout, and 1 White Fish.  The fish gave us about 40-45 bites in all.  We did catch a 11+ pound Laker that we gladly released to be caught another day.

The weekend finished off just the same as it started.  Our latest trip once again saw a great catch of Lake Trout, landing 13 out of 15 bites.   Still no salmon to report on our boat, however I have heard of a few taken.  Our peak Trout season is just around the corner.  The catches should stay very good for the next 3-5 weeks.

Last night the fishing was solid.  We left the dock at about 4:30pm and around 5:15 took our first fish.  The fish bit steady through the evening, and we saw some big ones.  We had 2 trout about 10 pounds and a couple in the 7-8 pound range.  The fish never got heavy through the night but the steady bite got us 12 altogether out of 14 bites.
